At Little Explorers Early Childhood Education & Care, our classrooms are communities of discovery. We are seeking an Toddler Teacher who brings warmth, professionalism and a vision to a learning environment where children explore, question, create and grow through purposeful play and inquiry.
The Toddler Teacher works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to support daily routines, curriculum implementation and individualized care. This role focuses on responsive caregiving, relationship-based interactions and developmentally appropriate sensory experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide warm, responsive care that supports secure attachment and emotional development.
- Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate, sensory-rich experiences
- Maintain consistent routines that support feeding, sleeping, diapering, and daily care needs
- Observe and document infant development to support individualized care
- Maintain a calm, safe and clean classroom environment
- Communicate respectfully with families through daily updates
- Ensure constant communication supervision and compliance with Massachusetts EEC health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with Lead Teacher and center staff
Qualifications
- Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification (Infant/Toddler)
- Understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
- Must pass state and company required background checks.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Teacher or strong assistant ready to step into a teacher role.
- Experience with inquiry based, Reggio-inspired, or play based learning (required)
- Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times a day.
- Must be able to stand, lift, sit, run and move around most of the day.
