About Our Center

Little Explorers ECEC is seeking a warm, organized and professional part-time receptionist to support our growing early childhood center. This position serves as the first point of contact for families, visitors, and staff while helping maintain a welcoming and efficient front office environment. Our center is inspired by Montessori values, nature based learning and strong family partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet families, children, staff, and visitors warmly upon arrival
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and general center inquiries
  • Assist with scheduling tours and responding to waitlist inquiries
  • Support enrollment paperwork and administrative tasks
  • Maintain organized files, attendance records, and office supplies
  • Assist directors with daily operational and clerical needs
  • Help manage parent communication through Brightwheel and email
  • Ensure front entrance and reception area remain clean, welcoming and organized
  • Support outreach efforts
  • Follow all EEC regulations, confidentiality policies, and center procedures
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in customer service, reception, administrative support, or early childhood preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly, professional and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint experience required
  • Experience with Brightwheel or childcare management systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Dependable, punctual, and team oriented
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
