At Little Explorers Early Childhood Education & Care, our classrooms are communities of discovery. We are seeking an Education Coordinator who brings warmth, professionalism and a vision to a learning environment where children explore, question, create and grow through purposeful play and inquiry.

The Education Coordinator works collaboratively with the Assistant Director to support daily routines, curriculum implementation and individualized care. This role focuses on responsive caregiving, relationship-based interactions and developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of curriculum and learning experiences throughout the center
  • Mentor, coach and support teaching staff in classroom management and best practices
  • Ensure classrooms maintain a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment
  • Assist with lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom observations
  • Help maintain compliance with EEC regulations, licensing standards and center policies
  • Coordinate teacher training, professional development and onboarding support
  • Monitor classroom quality, materials and learning environments
  • Collaborate with leadership team to support center goals and program growth
  • Build positive relationships and communication with families and staff
  • Assist with center events, enrichment programs and community engagement activities
  • Help maintain organization of educational resources, documentation and assessments
  • Order materials for classrooms, enrichment programs and playgrounds

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field preferred.
  • EEC Director I or Director II certification required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an early childhood education setting
  • Leadership and mentoring experience preferred
  • Montessori and/or nature inspired educational background preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development, curriculum planning, and classroom management
  • Experience supporting teachers through coaching, training, and professional development
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times a day.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, sit, run and move around most of the day.
